New rules imposed for entering Russia

Beginning with September 1, Moldovans travelling to Russia will be required, prior to crossing the border, to enter the results of their coronavirus test to an application developed by the Russian authorities and called “Путешествую без Covid-19” (Travelling Covid-free). The test has to be PCR-based, be negative and done no later than 72 hours before crossing the border.

Within three calendar days from entering Russia, the traveler will be compulsorily PCR-tested for Covid. Until the results are in, one will have to respect the self-isolation regime at home / place of residence.

Those with a confirmation of being vaccinated against Covid within the last 12 months or of having recovered from the disease within the last 6 months are relieved of the requirement to be PCR-tested on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Moldova is in the process of joining the mobile platform Путешествую без Covid-19.
