New rules for Moldovan citizens who enter Romania

The Moldovan citizens who go to Romania and intend to stay there for a period shorter than three days (72 hours) will be exempted from the obligation to self-isolate for 14 days if they present the negative test for COVID-19 done at most 48 hours before entering Romania, IPN reports.

The persons who arrive in Romania and enter quarantine for a 14-day period can leave quarantine in ten days if they do a test for COVID-19 at request on the eighth day of quarantine and its result is negative. The person should also not have specific symptoms.

Romania on October 5 updated the list of countries and areas with a high epidemiological risk for whose citizens quarantine is instituted as of October 7. Moldova is among the countries for whose citizens 14 day-quarantine is mandatory.
