New road signs and driver's licenses in Transnistria
New traffic rules will be in force in the Transnistrian region in 2010. There will be introduced 17 more road signs. The driver's licenses were modified to meet all the international standards, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Tiraspol reports.
One of the new traffic signs limits speed and will be placed near buildings located in the immediate vicinity of the road.
Dmitri Margarint, the head of the State Motor Inspectorate, said the road signs will be set up in the most crowded places, especially near schools and other institutions for children. The Inspectorate expects that the signs will contribute to a lower number of traffic accidents involving children.
All the toads signs that will be used in Transnistria are already in operation in Russia.
