New Right accuses governments of involvement in April 7 events
The New Right Association denies the accusations about the involvement of its members in the April 7, 2009 events, made by the Communist candidate Mark Tkachuk. It accuses the Communist and Liberal-Democrat governments of unwillingness to reveal the truth about those events, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the association.
According to the communiqué, this fact shows that both of the camps contributed, to a certain extent, to the April rioting and public disorder, while the possible revelations can discredit the politicians representing the two camps. The protesters about whom a number of media outlets said are supporters of the New Right can be only representatives of the belligerent camps, not members of the association.
The association expresses it disappointment at how the Moldovan political parties work. Instead of solving the stringent problems confronting the country, they focus on the fight for power and aim to discredit and annihilate the election contenders.
On November 5, the candidate for MP and a member of the PCRM's political executive Mark Tkachuk, in a statement on the invitation to a public debate made by the Liberal-Democrat leader Vlad Filat to the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin, said they are not interested in discussing such a theme as the assailing of Parliament using members of the New Right.
