New restrictions in Chisinau in connection with COVID-19 red alert

Nightclubs, dance halls, recreational areas and amusement parks in Chisinau will have to cease operating after the Extraordinary Public Health Commission of the municipality of Chisinau decided to put the capital city on COVID-19 red alert, IPN reports.

In accordance with the Commission’s decision, out-of-school educational activities (creation centers) during January 20 –February 3, 2022 will be performed remotely, as will be the extra-school activities at primary and secondary education institutions in the municipality of Chisinau. Community children’s and youth centers and day centered managed by the General Division for the Protection of Children’s Rights will also shift to online in the period.

Public eating places will work at half of their capacity and all the visitors of these places will have to possess COVID-19 certificates.

Also, sports and fitness centers will have to ensure an area of at least 7 square meters for each client. At the entrance, all the customers will present COVID-19 certificates.

Other public and private institutions in the municipality of Chisinau will have to work remotely and/or will introduce a differentiated work program.
