The contest for filling the post of director of a general education institution is open to persons who didn’t turn 65, hold the Moldovan nationality, have higher education and length of teaching service, know the Romanian language and dot not have a criminal record. The conditions are stipulated in the new regulations that were approved by the Board of the Ministry of Education on March 23, IPN reports.
According to a communique of the Ministry, the candidates for the post of director must be medically fit and must meet a minimum of standards concerning the professional and managerial skills that will be set by the National School Inspectorate. Until this Inspectorate is set up, these standards will be agreed by the Ministry of Education.
In the case of directors of crèches, early education community centers and primary and secondary education institutions, the contest will be staged by the district/municipal education divisions. The Ministry will organize the contests to choose directors for vocational schools and other subordinate institutions. The contests in the case of private institutions will be staged by the founder.
The contests will be held by contest commissions and will include three successive stages: eligibility, assessment of the CV and the interview. The candidate that will gain the largest number of points will become the winner. The post of director is held for a five-year period.
