New Regulation of Agriculture Subvention open for debates
The first debate regarding the Draft Regulation of Subventions for Agriculture 2011 took place at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to minister Vasile Bumacov, document’s concept is focused on supporting value added producing sectors and farmers that practice modern agriculture.
Petru Maleru, manager of the Agency for Payments and Interventions in Agriculture, said the document is based on the experience and feedback received after last year’s regulation.
The Draft includes such support measures as: subventions for investments in multiannual plantations and protected vegetables cultures, encouraging ecological agriculture, subsidies for the recovery of damaged lands, subventions for irrigation energy costs and others.
However, exact figures allotted to each activity have not been included in the Draft, as the total funds are yet to be decided by the government and proposed to the Parliament during the 2011 Budget debates.
