New provisions concerning registration and cessation of economic activities in Transnistria

The Cabinet approved changes in the registration and cessation of economic activities in the Transnistrian region. The bill aims to gradually integrate the Transnistrian business entities into the common economic and commercial space of the Republic of Moldova and to keep records of the Transnistrian business entities, IPN reports.

In the new context, the term “provisional inclusion” will be used to replace “provisional registration” and “temporary registration” for adding Transnistrian business entities to the State Register of Legal Units of the Republic of Moldova.

Consequently, the provisional inclusion will enable already registered Transnistrian business entities – both private individuals and legal entities – to provide electronic communications networks and services based on a general permit.

The persons will be able to obtain the necessary documents for conducting economic activities and for performing export-import operations documentation procedures and bank transactions in Moldova.

If legal entities and private individuals of the Transnistrian region cease operations, those under provisional registration will be obliged ask the Public Services Agency to strike them off the State Register of Legal Units of the Republic of Moldova. The measure will enable to correct and update the data in the information system.
