The people will have more possibilities of reporting acts of corruption. Instead of the trust line set up earlier by the National Anticorruption Center for reporting cases of corruption, there will be available three new types of lines: the national anticorruption line; the specialized anticorruption lines (in all the public institutions), and informational lines. The procedure for verifying the information communicated by the people will be simplified, while the process will be swifter. A bill to this effect is to be examined by Parliament, IPN reports.
According to the informative note to the bill, by the three types of telephone lines, society will be more efficiency involved in the fight against corruption, while the National Anticorruption Center will have more instruments for taking steps immediately after receiving relevant information.
The national legislation now does not define the procedure for receiving information about acts of corruption through telephone lines. The trust lines set up earlier turned out to be inefficient.
The national anticorruption line will be managed by the National Anticorruption Center. Specialized anticorruption lines will work in all the public institutions for receiving information about the corrupt behavior of employees, while the informational lines will provide information about the fight against corruption.
