The 1.5-km water pipe supplying Bubuieci and Bac villages of Chisinau municipality will be replaced because it wore out. For this to happen, the municipal councilors will have to allocate some 4 million lei, Info-Prim Neo reports. Now Bubuieci and Bac are supplied through a pipe built by a company. Because of being worn out severely, the Apa-Canal supplier (ACC) has frequently to halt the leakages, says an ACC official, Vitalie Midari. “We have to repair some 3-4 fissures every week, as it takes 4,000 to fix them.” “The question is about two villages, not about a neighborhood or several houses. You should insist that the Municipal Council allocates the necessary money,” mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca instructed the Apa-Canal official. He suggested Midari to present the councilors “the amounts in comparison” with the money used to stitch the pipe. He says the company has been digging in the area for one year. SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” records a monthly loss of 10 million lei. It has managed to replace old pipes from its own funds earlier.
