A new round of talks on the liberalization of the visa regime between Moldova and the EU will take place in October, European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle said after the meeting with Acting President Mihai Ghimpu, Info-Prim Neo reports. The European official said this year was a successful one for the dialogue between the Government of Moldova and the EU due to the concerted effort made by the Alliance for European Integration. “We talked about the number of Moldova's friends that will come today to Chisinau to attend the informal meeting of the Group for the European Action of Moldova,” Štefan Füle said. For his part, Acting President Mihai Ghimpu stressed that the official Chisinau is now closer than ever to Brussels, while the support offered by the EU shows the governing alliance's efforts to promote European values and implement reforms to develop and democratize the country are approved of.
