The public TV channel Moldova 1 will look for a new director after March 12. Angela Sarbu submitted again her resignation to the Supervisory Board. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the Board’s chairman Eugeniu Rybka said they examined the resignation tendered by Angela Sarbu and de jure she already resigned, but will continue work until March 12, in accordance with the legislation. Angela Sarbu handed in her resignation last December as well, but later withdrew it. She said then that the structural reform of Teleradio-Moldova company reached a crucial stage when it either becomes irreversible or maintains the state of affairs when no programs of a high quality useful for the viewers can be produced. “The company’s administration assured me there is will for this reform to be implemented as soon as possible,” the director of Moldova 1 said last December. If a new director of the public TV channel is not appointed by the next meeting of the Supervisory Board that will take place after March 12, a contest will be announced to fill the vacancy, said Eugeniu Rybka. Angela Sarbu was unavailable for comment.
