The results of the open contest to fill the posts of member of the Press Council of the Republic of Moldova, with the term in office between July 2014 and July 2016, were made public. Four of the members represent the journalistic community, while five the consumers of media products, IPN reports.
The representatives of the journalistic community are: Alina Turcanu, proposed by the editorial staff of the paper “Adevarul Moldova” (“Truth Moldova”); Dumitru Ciorici, put forward by Interact Media SRL / Unimedia.info; Veaceslav Perunov, proposed by the editorial staff of the Balti newspaper “SP” (Bălţi), and Maia Sadovici, suggested by a group of journalists of the Regional Public Broadcaster “Teleradio Gagauzia”.
The representatives of the consumers of media products are: Ludmila Andronic, proposed by the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences of the State University of Moldova; Daniela Samboteanu, suggested by UNICEF-Moldova; Vitalie Condratski, proposed by a group of media products consumers; Olga Manole, proposed by Promo-LEX Association, and Chiril Motpan, put forward by a group of media products consumers.
The chairman of the Press Council of the Republic of Moldova will be chosen in the first meeting of the new Council the next weeks.
