The National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) has announced a new mechanism for running the free telephone line 080080080.

From July 1, the people that use the line can provide information about the commission of acts of corruption by employees of the ANRCETI. The requests for information and consultancy are recorded in a register of calls and directed to officials in charge of the Agency’s subdivisions, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the institution.

Those who manage the telephone line 080080080 are banned from revealing the received information and the personal data of callers as well as the data that represent commercial secrets. The information furnished by callers can be used by the Agency’s officials in charge strictly for work purposes.

The free number 080080080 can be called from any settlement of Moldova, both from mobile and fixed-line phone networks. The calls to this number are received from Monday through Friday between 8am and 12 noon, and between 1m and 5pm.
