The Ministry of Finance proposed for public consultations a draft Government decision concerning the concept of the mechanism for monitoring the games of chance by the state, IPN reports.
The concept describes the process of exchanging data between the automated information systems owned by the State Tax Service, the Service for the Prevention and Fighting of Money Laundering, the Agency for Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance and the automated information system on games of chance.
The data will be exchanged also through the automated information system of the joint stock company “National Lottery of Moldova” that was empowered to stage games of chance, which is a state monopoly, namely to hold lotteries all over Moldova, to run gaming halls and organize bets for competitions and sports events, and to conduct games of chance through electronic communication networks. The Common Register of Games of Chance run by the Public Services Agency is the last automated information system that will be included in this circuit.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the proposed mechanism will significantly reduce social risks related to games of chance and will facilitate the observance of the legal provisions by the organizers of such games.
