Prime Minister Pavel Filip convoked the working group for implementing the new pension system reform conception that is to be applied from January 1, 2017. The conception envisions the strengthening of the institutional pension system management bodies, diminution of social inequity and formation of a more attractive pension system, with an increased level of benefits, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, work is now done on the bill concerning the pension system reform that is to be presented for public consultations. The development partners and international experts were asked to provide technical assistance in working out the new social pension calculation formula.
The pension system reform conception was approved at the beginning of this August. The decision was taken following a series of consultations with members of the Cabinet, representatives of the development partners and NGOs sector and experts in the field.
