The Cabinet on July 19 approved the program of activities for reunifying the country for 2017. A sum of 15 million lei was budgeted for the purpose. The program will finance measures to develop and modernize education institutions, to maintain buildings, water supply systems and community lighting initiatives, IPN reports.

In a move to develop and modernize the institutions of the education system, the Government will provide by a lump sum of 75,000 lei to the theoretical lyceums based in Tiraspol, Bender, Grigoriopol, Dubasari and Rabnita towns, to the boarding school in Bender town and to the secondary schools in Corjova and Roghi villages of Dubasari district.

The 69 activities included in the program were chosen as a result of a contest of projects of local and central public authorities, which submitted 120 proposals.
