New mayoral elections will be held in Popeştii de Jos village of Drochia district on November 17. A decision to this effect was taken by the Central Election Commission, IPN reports.

The mayoral post fell vacant as a result of the death of the mayor.

On November 17, new local mayoral elections will be held in other localities as well. These are Causeni town, Iliciovca commune of Florești district, Boșcana commune of Criuleni district, Arionești village of Donduseni district, Antonești commune of Cantemir district, and Clocușna village of Ocnița district.
