New interim mayor is interested in Moldovan Village “Buciumul” and “Valea Morilor” zone projects

Of many major projects of Chisinau City Hall intended for the current year and presented at the City Hall’s sitting, held on Monday January 29, by the head of municipal renovations Division Tudor Gnaciuc, interim mayor Veaceslav Iordan showed interest only in the Moldovan Village “Buciumul” and the amusement zone “Valea Morilor”, requesting the public servants to give exhaustive information about their construction works’ progress. As Gnaciuc says, about 80 mln lei will be allotted from the local and state budget for the Moldovan Village “Buciumul” project, while the completion of the constructions is scheduled for October 1, 2007. This deadline was set during a work meeting held at the Presidency in late 2006. At present, the construction and design works are in full swing in the yard of the “Buciumul”. Until the set date, the City Hall in concert with the state Institute “Rural proiect” is to complete the following objects from the composition of “Buciumul”: “Popas” Inn, “Casa Mare”, “Ograda Taraneasca” (Peasant Yard), “Moara cu Placinte” (Pie Mill), “Moara de Vant” (Wind Mill), “Fantana cu Cumpana”, 3 large traditional ovens, popular Theatre “Buciumul”. Only 1.3 mln lei are anticipated in the municipal budget for 2007 to fund these works. As for the “Valea Morilor” zone, Gnaciuc mentioned that the design and refit works will cost about 50 mln lei. As he says, as a result of auctions it was ascertained that ”Chisinau–proiect” Institute will be responsible for the refit works, while the State Institute “Acva-proiect” – for the cleaning of the lake. “Acva-Proiect” is to present the projects for cleaning the lake by the end of this week.
