A new information and analytics portal - www.ava.md – has been launched by political scientist Vitalie Andrievschi. The website contains articles commenting on various political issues, profiles of Moldovan politicians and a chat room. No logins are required to access the resources of the portal. Vitalie Andrievschi told a press conference today that the portal will not be pro governmental, but will not post articles laudatory of the Opposition either. It will serve as a platform for any kind of views on the present-day politics in Moldova. “It is quite normal to come across such names as Voronin, Smirnov or Bragis on this site. But this doesn’t mean that these are persons I favour; they are just people that make politics in this country”, Andrievschi said. The political analyst counts mainly on the contribution of the young experts who are welcome to post their comments on the site. When asked what was the good of a portal since his opinions appear quite frequently in media, Andrievschi stated that this is how he was going to avoid erroneous interpretations and offer the concerned public first-hand information.
