The new Chief of the International Monetary Fund’s Mission for Moldova, Graeme Justice, will pay a visit to Moldova on September 20-27. The announcement was made by IMF Resident Representative Johan Mathisen at a meeting with Prime Minister Tarlev. According to a Government press release, Johan Mathisen said that the IMF mission and the Moldovan governmental institutions have developed constructive relations of partnership and high credibility as regards the elaboration and implementation of well-balanced economic growth reforms. Speaking about the Law on money laundering and terrorism financing prevention, as well as about the amendments to the Capital Amnesty Law, Mathisen said that their implementation is an important step in providing guarantees for placing investments.
