Six boys of the Orhei residential institution for children with mental disabilities will live in a social house in the town and will learn to cope by themselves. The boys will be assisted by a psychologist, a social assistant and a social worker, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, the goal of the “Protected home” service is to increase the level of independence of persons with disabilities. In the “Protected home”, these will learn to cook, to wash the dishes, to do the laundry and the cleaning.
The six boys were selected according to their capacity to cope by themselves with the domestic chores. The next “Protected home” is to be set up in Drochia district. This will host beneficiaries of the psycho-neurological boarding school of Badiceni, Soroca.
