New head of ANRCETI presented to employees

The new director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) Grigore Varanita was introduced to the staff. The new head said that one of his priorities is to promote competition in the provision of electronic communication services and networks and associated infrastructure, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from ANRCETI.

In the meeting with the employees of ANRCETI, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar said that Grigore Varanita is a good specialist with sufficient experience in ICT.

For his part, the new director said he is aware of the problems faced in the ICT sector and knows the objectives of the authority that regulates this sector. He underlined that he counts on the experiences of the ANRCETI specialists and on the Government’s assistance in solving the problems encountered in this important sector of the national economy.

Grigore Varanita was named to post for a four-year term by a Government decision on July 10. By another decision, the Government dismissed Sergiu Satnic from the post of ANRCETI director based on his resignation.
