Nicolae Vicol was dismissed from the post of director of the State Main Tax Inspectorate based on his resignation. Acting Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta signed an order naming Ion Prisacaru to this post, IPN reports.

Ion Prisacaru is an economist by profession. On the website of Ecofin Audit Service Ltd, he is mentioned as the company’s director general. According to the website of the Liberal Democratic Party, Prisacaru is a member of this party.

The former director Nicolae Vicol was arrested by officers of the National Anticorruption Center on February 15 on suspicion of passive corruption, abuse of power and illegal wiretapping. The case started against him was sent to court.
