New head named at Lafarge Ciment
Louis de Sambucy was appointed as director general of Lafarge Ciment Moldova SA instead of Frederic Aubet, who headed the company during two years and will now manage Lafarge’s operations in Hungary, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the factory.
“The experience gained by Lafarge Group in such areas as plant modernization and development of alterative fuels will help me fulfill the new responsibilities entrusted to me,” said Louis de Sambucy.
For his part, Frederic Aubet said that in 2010 Lafarge Ciment Moldova SA launched a number of new products and started to use alternative fuels. “I’m very proud that our company became a member of the Lafarge‘s Excellence Club,” said the former director.
Louis de Sambucy is a specialist in management and industrial engineering. He graduated from the Polytechnic School of Paris and the Stanford University in Palo Alto, the U.S. He joined the Lafarge team in 2007.
Lafarge entered the Moldovan market in 1999, after purchasing the most important cement producer of Moldova – the Rezina cement factory. Currently, Lafarge owns 95.31% of the registered capital of Lafarge Ciment Moldova SA. Its turnover in 2009 was 540 million lei. The company employs 350 persons.
