New government undertakes immediate tasks and verifies rumors
Prime Minister Vlad Filat, at the first meeting of the new executive, asked the ministers and other persons holding responsible positions in governmental units to present the bills that must be approved immediately and asked for information that will help clarify a number of issues discussed in the business sector and in the society, Info-Prim Neo reports.
By the next meeting of the Government scheduled for October 1, the Ministry of Economy is to present the schemes and formulas that allowed monopolizing the meat and fish products market as well as other markets.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration was entrusted with the tasks of opening talks over the signing of the Convention on Small-Scale Border Traffic with Romania and of preparing an analytical note about the efficiency of Moldova's embassies abroad.
The Ministry of Finance will formulate amendments to this year's budget law and will draft the budget law for next year, will strictly monitor the collections into the budget and cooperate with the Customs Service in this respect.
The Ministry of Justice will collect information about the cases lost by Moldova at the ECHR and those that are yet to be examined. This could be a first step towards implementing the legal norm, which says that the damages awarded to the citizens should not be paid by the state, but by the persons holding responsible positions who made the citizens appeal to the European Court.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry will have to identify solutions to unblock the export of grapes by Monday and to devise methods of facilitating the registration of sale contracts by the producers. It will also deal with the stimulation of the export of nonbottled wine to Russia.
“Moldova has a government and the people must feel and see this. The law and order must be enforced.” This message was addressed to all the ministers, including the Minister of the Interior.
The Premier instructed officials of the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime to verify the conditions in which SA Moldtelecom held the tender contest for implementing 3G technologies as it is rumored that the money put in the account of SA Moldtelecom by the companies that participated in the contest was transferred to China. SA Moldovagaz will also be inspected as it is said that instead of using the money to pay for the gas supplied by Russia's Gazporm, it goes to built gas pipelines in Moldova. We must avoid accumulating large debts to the gas supplier with the winter approaching, Vlad Filat said.
The Prime Minister also said that the CIS summit set to take place in Chisinau in October must be prepared at the most appropriate level and gave the necessary instructions.
