The Cabinet approved decisions concerning the preparation of education institutions for the 2016-2017 academic year and financing based on expenditure per student at technical professional education institutions, IPN reports.
The new financing formula will enable to differentiate the training costs per student depending on the complexity and level of the professional training program by applying program coefficients. Among the projected results are the improvement of the allocation of public resources, encouragement and promotion of technical professional training programs in accordance with the market needs.
To implement the new financing mechanism, Moldova will benefit from €1.6 million in financial support from the European Union through the Sector Budget Support Program.
