The municipal councilor on behalf of the sociopolitical movement “New Force” Victor Bunescu will serve as an independent councilor as from today. “Starting with today’s meeting, I will serve as an unaffiliated councilor,” he stated in the extraordinary meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council, IPN reports.

Victor Bunescu is not a member of the sociopolitical movement “New Force”, but he ran in the local elections on this party’s ticket. He became a councilor after Olga Rujanschi vacated her seat of councilor, invoking illegalities committed in the Council.

The Chisinau Municipal Council has 51 councilors. In the local general elections of 2019, the sociopolitical movement “New Force” gained only one seat of councilor.
