New mayoral elections will be held in Zarnesti commune of Cahul district on November 19, 2017. A decision to this effect was taken by the Central Election Commission in its September 12 meeting, IPN reports.

According to the Commission’s secretary Veaceslav Agrigoroae, the new elections will take place following the resignation of the mayor of Zarnesti, about which the Commission was informed.

New mayoral elections on November 19 will also be held in Sangera town of Chisinau municipality, Berlinti village of Briceni district and Capriana village of Straseni district. New elections will also take place in Fundurii Noi village of Glodeni, Stefanesti village of Floresti, Plopi village of Cantemir, Sarateni village of Leova, Ghiliceni village of Telenesti and Lapusna village of Hancesti.
