New mayoral elections will be held in Plopi village of Cantemir district on November 19. The Central Election Commission (CEC) approved a decision to this effect on June 21, IPN reports.

The Commission’s president Alina Russu said new elections will be organized in connection with the death of the mayor of Plopi, about which the CEC was informed.

New mayoral elections on November 19 will also take place in Fundurii Noi village of Glodeni district and in Stefanesti village of Floresti district.
