On 22 and 25 February in Chisinau, in the National Theatre “Mihai Eminescu”, it will be organised the 14-th edition of Romance Festival “Crizantema de Argint” (Silver Chrysanthemum). The deputy head of Culture Department of municipality Chisinau, Leonid Gorceac, said that after the pre-selection of 4-7 January, 17 composers of this kind of music and 13 singers, including two from Targoviste, Romania, and one from Bucharest, would participate at the Festival. He mentioned that on the evening of 22 February it would be held the contest to section creation. The Orchestra «Folclor» of the National Philarmonic, lead by Petre Neamtu will accompany Romance’s singers. Next day, on the same stage, romance’s singers will perform, accompanied by the orchestra of the National Folk Dance Assembly “Joc”, leader Gheorghe Sevcisin. Wll-known and less known singers, such as Ana Piaru, Vasile Iovu, Nina Ermurache, Viorica Moraru, Florin Georgescu, Cristina Pintilie and Daniela Vladescu will perform romances on de 24 February. The awarding ceremony will be held on 25 February.
