The General Assembly of the Joint Stock Company “Apa-Canal Chisinau” accepted the resignation tendered by the company’s director Veronica Herta, naming instead of her Valeriu Mesca, ex-director of the state-owned company “Glass Factory” of Chisinau, IPN reports. Also today, May 22, Andrei Saptefrat, employee of SRL ”Chisinau-Gaz”, was appointed as economic director of the company, while Anatol Likii, who served as deputy technical director, will take up as technical director in charge of production. Viorel Bejan, head of the Inspection Division of the State Main Tax Inspectorate, was promoted as customer relations director, IPN reports.
On a social networking site, Veronica Herta wrote that she never held on to positions and devoted herself to ensuring a sustainable development for the consumers and employees of “Apa-Canal Chisinau”. “I’m glad that I managed to bring back to life the company and the Project and I’m glad that we managed to build a team and to launch a number of projects to ensure high-quality services for consumers,” she wrote.
Veronica Herta noted she managed to avoid the company’s bankruptcy. “In September 2016, when I took up as director general of “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, the company was close to bankruptcy: the debts to the suppliers amounted to over €2 million and the first document presented to me was a court order to levy 16.2 million lei. In 2017, we managed to avoid the company’s bankruptcy and to unblock the Investment Program financed by the EBRD, EIB and the Neighborhood Investment Facility of the EU! In 2017, the company made about 9.5 million lei profit, as opposed to the losses of 81 million lei sustained in 2016. I thank the development partners, the Administration Board and surely the employees of “Apa-Canal Chisinau” who are professionals who devote themselves to work! It is important that all the initiated projects should continue,” wrote the ex-director.
