New director of SA Termocom presented at Chisinau City Hall
The preparations for the new cold season, drawing up of a heat saving scheme, revision of the structure of the heat charge are only some of the tasks of the heat supplier enumerated by the Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca while presenting the new director of SA Termocom Mihai Cernei to the municipal servants on August 9, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Mihai Cernei is a doctor of technical and economic sciences. He was the director general of the Electric Power Networks, director of the thermoelectric plant CET-2, director of Moldelectrica, and dean of the Faculty of Economy of the State University of Moldova.
"It is not an easy task to take over a company with a debt of 2.5 billion lei, 900 million lei of which was collected before 2001. SA Termocom was transferred back to the City Hall with a debt of about 1.5 billion lei,” Dorin Chirtoaca said.
The mayor instructed the new director of SA Termocom to formulate proposals for settling the debts and to make a feasibility study on the heat supplier’s modernization so as to make it more efficient and implement European standards.
For his part, Mihai Cernei assured that all the tasks enumerated by the mayor were on his working agenda, including the calculation, together with experts of the National Agency for Energy Regulation, of the price of a gigacalorie of heat. Besides, the technical passports for buildings will not be signed in the offices of Termocom, but on the spot, after checking the piping system. Cernei said an internal audit will be carried out at the company.
The former administrator of SA Termocom Dionisie Antocel will continue to manage the financial resources until 2012, under a court decision.
According to Infocom, only slightly over 50% of the apartment buildings in Chisinau do not have debts for heat.
