The Mother and Child Institute has a new director. The Ministry of Health made an order by which obstetrician gynecologist of the Institute Sergiu Gladun is appointed to this post, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry, there were four applicants for the post of director of the Mother and Child Institute has, but only two of them took part in the final stage of the contest given that the other two withdrew their candidacies. Sergiu Gladun obtained the highest score.
Sergiu Gladun is the son of former minister of health Eugen Gladun, who founded the Mother and Child Institute.
Minster of Health Ruxanda Glavan on December 7 made an ordinance by which Marin Rotaru was named as acting director of the Mother and Child Institute. The then director Stefan Gatcan said he would challenge the given ordinance as illegal because the post of director wasn’t vacant. In that period, Gatcan was on sick leave.
