A new outbreak of COVID-19 was reported at the neurology section of Saint Trinity” Municipal Hospital of Chisinau, where 11 cases of infection of medical personnel were confirmed, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu informed after the meeting of the Single Command and Center.

As many as 696 tests for COVID-19 were performed on May 4 and 127 samples tested positive. The largest number of new infections was reordered in the Transnistrian region – 42.

IPN quoted Viorica Dumbrăveanu as saying that the Ştefan-Vodă District Hospital resumes work on May 5. For his part, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said the quarantine regime in Ştefan-Vodă and Soroca could be lifted.

On May 5, the Commission for Exceptional Situations is to decide whether to allow holding services in churches by obeying all the preventive measures or not.
