The Socialist group on the Chisinau Municipal Council has a new member. This is the substitute candidate Nichita Turcan, who replaced Petru Corduneanu. The Central Election Commission adopted a decision to this effect on August 1, IPN reports.

Nichita Turcanu, 27, studied informatics and works as head of the Party of Socialists’ Analytical and Information Center.

The post fell vacant when Socialist councilor Petru Corduneanu chose to sit in Parliament.
