The Government decided to organize the shipment of a new contingent of 20 Moldovan military to Iraq, Info-Prim Neo reports The soldiers go there benevolently after special training. They will be on the mission 6 months, and will get a per diem of $70 a day from the Moldovan budget. Other expenses related to their mission in Iraq will be incurred by the Defense Ministry. The info-note to the respective decision of the Government reads that Moldova's further participating “in the post-conflict operation with humanitarian character in Iraq is the country's contribution to create an international climate of humanitarian aid.”
