The Government approved the regulations concerning the issuing of urbanism certificate for planning and construction or demolition authorization for works of public utility of national interest. The document lays out clear rules for authorizing the planning and execution of works of national interest and will enable to avoid the erecting of overlapped facilities on the same area, IPN reports.

The list of such works includes the works to save and protect cultural-artistic and historical values, to reconstruct urban centers and housing and industrial quarters, to prepare land for constructing state-funded apartment buildings and education and health facilities on them.

To obtain the urbanism certificate if historical, arts and architecture monuments need to be modified, beneficiaries must present the project outline approved by the chief architect of the territorial-administrative unit and the National Council of Historical Monuments. To get a construction authorization, applicants must present a series of documents, including the plan of works and appraisals from the competent authorities.

The urbanism certificate and construction or demolition authorization for works of public utility of national interest will be issued by the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.
