A new “social assistance” canteen inaugurated in Radoaia village, Sangerei district, will serve warm meals to some 70 elderly daily. It will be operated by a charity NGO called Concordia implementing such a project, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Social Protection Ministry. Half of the lunches will be sent to the houses of the people unable to walk. Later, a shower and a washing room are planned to be set up near the canteen. The organization supports public authorities in developing social services in different localities. Now the charity organization operates 14 “social” canteens, and it is intent to open other 10 soon.
