New categories of citizens will be issued with free tickets to the rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Health and other similar institutions once in three years. These include the husbands/wives of war veterans who died in the line of duty and of persons who remained with disabilities after war. The MPs gave a first reading to a bill to this effect, IPN reports.

The costs for implementing the proposal were estimated at about 752,100 lei a year for 307 persons of these categories.

The MPs also adopted amendments to the law on the social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. These regulate the functioning of the body that issues permits to the persons who took part in the Chernobyl cleanup. These permits will be issued only by administrative-military bodies.

Parliament also gave a first reading to amendments to the law on mandatory health insurance funds for 2020. Under the bill, the revenues from mandatory health insurance premiums will be decreased by 209.4 million lei following the diminution of the labor remuneration fund.
