New cars for Chisinau police
The municipal police in Chisinau this year will come into possession of 20 new cars. Last year, they received 10 new units of transport, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a meeting at the City Hall on April 18, Finance Division head Veronica Herta said the 20 police cars will cost the municipal budget 2 million lei. She announced that money has been also allocated for buying clothing for the police.
“In the future, we plan to purchase video cameras. Each police car will have a video camera on the hood so as to better monitor the situation. The Government is now considering a relevant international project,” said Dorin Chirtoaca.
A sum of 1 million lei was spent on the ten police cars last year.
