The fourth national campaign “Moldova’s children read a book” was started at the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga” on January 29. This year it is dedicated to the book “You are alone too?” by Aurelian Silvestru.
The Library’s vice director Lilia Tcaci has told IPN that the campaign will be conducted all over Moldova between January and December and will cover children aged between 14 and 17.
Both the public libraries and the school ones will promote the recommended book and its reading by different forms of activity such as public lessons, meetings with the author, discussions and debates. There will also be held different conferences, plays, drawing and literary contests based on Aurelian Silvestru’s book. A national summing up conference will be staged in December, which will name the most active readers from the country.
The campaign is supported by the Ministry of Culture within the national book editing program. The first campaign was carried out in 2012, when the recommended book was Aurelian Silvestru’s “Fragments of soul”.
