The Ministry of Culture reminds that the cultural organizations can file applications to obtain financing for projects that will be implemented in 2016 by October 15. Minister of Culture Monica Babuc told a news conference that 2 million lei is allocated from the state budget for financing cultural projects in 2016, IPN reports.
“We are making effort for an increasing number of cultural projects of a high quality to be financed and for the capacity to obtain funding to be improved. A sum of 2 million lei was allocated annually for the purpose over the last three years. The same sum will be provided in 2016. Last year 71 public associations submitted 111 projects, with 62 projects being selected for financing. The projects able to attract partners and co-financing are encouraged,” said the minister.
This year’s novelty is the online system available for filing projects on the website of the Ministry of Culture. The system ensures maximum transparency as the projects that were submitted and accepted can be followed. Monica Babuc noted that this online system became available in July, but applications haven’t been yet submitted through it.
The Ministry is waiting for applications for raising financing also for editorial projects. The offers from editorial offices will be accepted by September 30.
