A new bridge over the Prut River will be built to link the Moldovan town of Leușeni to the Romanian town of Albița, while two existing bridges across the Moldova-Romania border will be rehabilitated. Pre-agreement memorandums to this effect were approved by the Romanian Government.

The Moldovan authorities say the new road bridge between the towns of Albița and Leușeni will meet the highest technical construction requirements, for safe and comfortable traffic.

Meanwhile, the road bridges between the towns of Sculeni (RO) and Sculeni (MD), as well as between the towns of Oancea (RO) and Cahul (MD) will be rehabilitated and consolidated to improve safety and traffic flows.
