The new biometric passports will have an advanced security degree and will be dark red in color, as the documents issued by the EU member states, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, it will be impossible to forge the new passports. They will have a period of validity of seven years.

The authorities plan that the new passports will start to be issued at the end of this year. Blue biometric passports will continue to be issued until then.
