The assembly of five battery-powered trolleybuses outfitted with air conditioning systems is close to an end. These will be ready at the start of September and will run on the Chișinău – Stăuceni road, the acting head of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Dorin Chenyi has told IPN.

The trolleybuses have LED lights inside and outside. They have low floor and ensure wheelchair access for persons with disabilities. A unit of transport cost €215,000.

According to the plan for 2018, 15 battery-powered trolleybuses and five traditional trolleybuses, all equipped with air conditioning and LED lights inside and outside, are to be assembled by this yearend.
