The Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolacu and the President of the Senate of Romania Nicolae Ciucă, ex-Premier of Romania, are paying a working visit to Moldova. The two officials will have meetings with their Moldovan counterparts and with President Maia Sandu. In connection with the officials’ visit, police teams are patrolling the road that connects the airport and the capital city, IPN reports.

The Government in Chisinau said the officials will discuss the bilateral agenda in the spirit of the Strategic Partnership for the European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, joint economic, investment, infrastructure and transport projects and the reform program undertaken by the Moldovan authorities on the path of European integration.

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and the Romanian Senate’s President Nicolae Ciucă will make statements for the press in the Parliament Building starting at 12:15pm. Premiers Dorin Recean and Marcel Ciolacu will give a joint news conference in the Government Building beginning at 12:30pm.
