New ambulances offered to Moldova with U.S. support

Moldova’s medical emergency response teams received 20 new ambulances. The vehicles were provided by the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), with the financial support of the United States Government, in the context of the Ukrainian refugee crisis.

According to the Ministry of Health, one of the 20 ambulances will go to the emergency substation (SAMU) in Dubăsari.

The ambulances have a total value of $900,000.

In January, the ambulance fleet of the National Center for Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Care was supplemented with 24 new vehicles, 17 of which were mobile intensive care vehicles equipped with important equipment for stabilizing critical patients.
