The Republic of Moldova and Poland are close countries and the strengthening of the bilateral dialogue in all the areas of cooperation is the constant preoccupation of the Moldovan diplomatic service, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, stated in a meeting with the new Ambassador of Poland to Moldova Tomasz Michał Kobzdej, IPN reports.
“I thanked the Polish authorities for the assistance offered in the modernization and European transformation of our country and for the valuable humanitarian assistance provided to us to cope with the flow of refugees caused by the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine,” stated Nicu Popescu, being quoted in a press release of the Ministry.
The official wished success to the Polish diplomat in the fulfillment of his duties and assured him of the Moldovan authorities’ complete support.
The ceremony to hand over the credentials, including by the new Ambassador of Poland Tomasz Michał Kobzdej, was held at the end of April. Tomasz Kobzdej succeeded Bartłomiej Zdaniuk.
