New Ambassador of Germany to Moldova is Nikolaus von der Wenge Graf Lambsdorff

The new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Moldova is Nikolaus von der Wenge Graf Lambsdorff. The diplomat presented the accreditation letters to the deputy prime-minister Andrei Stratan, also Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. During the discussions, an important issue was the development of the settlement process of the Transnistrian conflict. The new head of the German diplomatic mission said he supports the territorial wholeness of Moldova and the settlement of the dispute. Before coming to Moldova, Graf Lamsdorff worked in Indonesia, Estonia, USA, Bosnia and Kosovo. He is married and has a son. Germany established diplomatic ties with Moldova on April 30, 1992. The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany was opened on November 2, same year.
